This was such an incredible year for me and my family. As you know, Lemon was born in Vancouver just over two years ago and saved by the wonderful VOKRA people. His great good fortune continues as he crossed the United States from Vancouver to Montreal this past summer, spending one night in Butte, Montana here:
He also met some of his first canine friends in Montreal.
The beautiful Ella:
And the artistic Garry-Lewis:
Lemon is now in Toronto visiting with family and we all have hope for a beautifully peaceful 2012. All the best to everyone.
Happy New Year!

Progress Report
Last month, we moved from Vancouver, BC to Montreal, where Merrianne has lived on and off for over 20 years. Here I am on the new blue chair:
There are a lot of new things to get used to, but thanks to good friends Ella and Esme, I had no problems meeting my new doctor at Chaton Sante:
Everyone is very curious to meet me here. There is also an interesting street culture in my new hood:
I met Garry Lewis too:
His mom is awesome. This is a neighbor Tuxedo Boy, dressed for every occasion. I am happy that he survived a very serious illness last year:
All is well in la belle province so far, though Vancouver is in my heart and soul. Much love to everyone.

Road Trip U.S.A.
I am cross country kitty. Here I am the morning pre trip:
We are traveling from Vancouver, Canada to Montreal.
As you know, I am a very sensitive CH kitty and so Bach's Rescue Remedy has being doing the trick of relieving my vehicular anxiety.
Here I am just outside of Kittitas, WA, enjoying a little break:
A guy asked Merrianne if my legs had fallen asleep when he saw me walking.
Here I am in Butte, Montana at Eddy's Motel:
I had a pretty golden day, and the carpet in the room was awesome.

Lest We Forget
Dear Everybody,
It's the moving season and I hear that some folks abandon their pets. Please don't let anyone you know do that. Also, if you're in Vancouver, think about adopting from the nice folks at VOKRA.
Also, look at this beautiful blog:

Wake Up Call
Here I am. Morning routine. I've had a few major breakthroughs in the past week. I can now sleep through the entire night without waking Merrianne and Paul for bathroom breaks. You only need to have one accident for the whole house to come to life. But, that's in the past now. Look at me today.
Loving and living life to its fullest, that's me.

Couch
Late for Valentine's Day, but not for love. Much to Merrianne's strong opposition, I have claimed a spot under the couch as well.

Blog the Change
Thanks to VOKRA, my life and the lives of others are saved. I am especially grateful because many do not understand my condition . With guidance and a supportive forever home, I can live a long, healthy life. You don't want to know what often happens instead. Yes -- a helmet and generous padding help, but so does a new attitude. Vokra saved my pregnant mother and in this act committed to saving me. I can't believe my luck. Visit the site.

Survival Essentials
I have recently discovered the secrets to Second Breakfast. Here's how I do it. First, between 4:00 and 5:00 every morning, I begin my rounds. I start with a plaintive cry which gradually builds to heaving myself fairly violently (though safely) against all furniture obstacles and doors. My humans, Merrianne and Paul, respond consistently well to this behaviour, which, as it turns out, is an unbeatably effective attention getter. One of the two leads the way or picks me up...into the kitchen and provides a delicious, healthy snack. We perform various ablutions and just when they are ready to tuck into sleeping soundly, I sound off again. Since one has already accompanied me, the other takes over. I must add, though, that the key step to success in the doubling of the snacks is to prevent clear communication between them. This can be done in any number of wily ways, as I'm sure you already know. Thus, we have second breakfast. One day, I managed to eat two second breakfasts and a couple of second dinners too. I don't think they were irritated by this at all. Do you?

Shakespeare's Cat
I think the bard had a cat named Rose, though I'm not sure how sweet she smelled. My name, though, is a little more controversial than this. Please know that Lemon is a good association, not bad and certainly not critical of me. This, I understand. And, you should too. Lemon is sweet and so I am. Pie tasty goodness.
Now...what gives with that ear tattoo?

Meow
Welcome to Adventures in Catland. I am Lemon and I am your host. Everyone has a story to tell and I'm no different. I have nine plus lives, though, and more each day. This blog will reveal how this is so. I'm a special needs feline as you will see.
But first, I need to scratch. And a little walk down the hall:
